Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd (HMSI) today took a major step towards becoming the leading two wheeler makers in India by unveiling as many as 7 new products, a new 110cc commuter motorcycle called the Dream Yuga and a new Dio with an 110cc engine at the 2012 Auto Expo. But the biggest surprise was the launch of the Honda CBR150R for India. Other products at the event included 2012 CB Shine, 2012 CBR250R, Fury VT1300CX and the new CBR1000RR. CBR150R is India bound, to sell alongside bigger brother, the CBR250R. The stylish, fully faired CBR150R’s four-stroke, fuel-injected engine will output a maximum power figure of 18bhp at 10,500rpm, and is to be priced in the region of Rs 1,20,000. The engine is liquid cooled and has fuel injection. The bike will have front and rear disc brakes, mono-suspension and wide front and rear tubeless tyres. It also has an advance O2 sensor and air inductor to reduce the emissions. The CBR150R will be available in two variants – Standard and Deluxe. The CBR150R shares most body panels with the bigger CBR 250R. The CBR150R shall slip into showrooms around the country as early as March 2012. Honda also launched a new tri-colour CBR 250R which will be available for sale in dealerships from February 2012. Honda has also unveiled an important new 110cc commuter bike, the Dream Yuga which looks pretty similar to the conservative looking Shine. The Dream Yuga is powered by an 110cc engine making 9PS. Honda claims that it will return 72kmpl. Honda are providing the option of tubeless/tuff up tube. This bike will be available in three variants, kick/drum/spoke, kick/drum/alloy and self/drum/alloy. The bike looks quite similar to Honda’s 125cc commuter, the Shine and will come in five colour options. Dream Yuga is likely to reach Honda showrooms priced at approximately Rs 45,000 and shall be from May 2012. The new Dio replaces its 102cc engine with the 110cc from the Activa. It now develops 9PS of power and along with certain technologies like reduced cooling fan diameter, valve spring load and roller rocker arm, Honda claims that it is 15 per cent more fuel efficient. The 2012 Honda Dio also gets tubeless tyres and combi-brakes for enhanced safety. Honda claims that they have increased the leg space at the front as well. The refreshed Dio will be available for sale from end of January 2012. Honda’s CB Shine has also been given a refresh with new graphics and a 3D emblem. The 2012 Shine also gets handle bar end weights, tuff up tube tyres and an option of a 240mm disc brake in the front. Honda also showcased their two superbikes, the VT 1300CX and 2012 CBR1000RR Fireblade. The VT1300CX is a chopper powered by a 1312cc V-twin engine while the Fireblade is a 20th anniversary edition. It gets a ‘balance free rear cushion’, revised fuel injection settings, new wheels and an advanced LCD instrument panel.  The 2012 CBR1000RR Fireblade will be available for sale at Honda owned exclusive Wing World showrooms in Delhi and Mumbai from this month itself.   Also see - 2012 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade unveiled 2012 Honda Fury motorcycle unveiled   Image Credit - Overdrive
