There have been a few rendering attempts of Toyota Urban Cruiser, the rebadged Maruti Vitara Brezza. Our rendering artist Mohammed Afraz has come up with his own version just a few days ahead of the bookings start.
We reported that Toyota Kirloskar Motor will commence bookings from August 22, 2020 in the coming days. Launch and deliveries are scheduled for next-month.
The Toyota Urban Cruiser is the second Maruti Suzuki model to have been rebadged as Toyota as part of the alliance agreement between the Japanese automakers. While there are minimal changes to the Toyota Glanza, rebadged Maruti Baleno, the Urban Cruiser is expected to differentiate itself better than its donor model.
While the sheet metal surfaces are expected to be carried forward without any changes in a bid to keep the costs in check, there would be significant changes in plastic parts. In short, a new grille, secondary airdam, bumper and subtly restyled headlamps will appear on the front fascia to go well with a DNA of the Toyota brand. This speculative rendering is imagined with a front that originates from the popular Toyota Innova MPV.
We expect the Toyota Urban Cruiser too also feature some significant changes to the rear. New color choices, exclusive interior color themes will further differentiate the Toyota sub-4 m SUV from its sibling Maruti Suzuki.
