Ford recently showcased the upcoming compact sedan Figo Aspire when it inaugurated its stateof-the art Sanand facility. The production for the same seems to have commenced Figo Aspire car was found shooting for its first TVC at Palm Beach Road in Navi Mumbai. Seen in its final production guise in the spyshots, the car was seen with actor Farhan Akhtar at the driver’s seat in the TVC shoot who will likewise be the brand ambassador in India for the car. With the TVC being shot and trial production initiated, Ford India could launch the new Figo Aspire right on time in June-2015.

The Figo Aspire will be fuelled by a turbocharged 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel motor alternatives. They will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. There will also be the 1.5-litre petrol engine known for its performance mated to a dual-clutch 6-speed automatic. Staying true to the concept showcased a year ago, the Figo Aspire gets a dark and beige themed interiors and borrows a few cues from its elder siblings Fiesta and EcoSport.

The Figo comes loaded with features like multi-function steering wheel, Ford infotainment system with Ford AppLink and Bluetooth network, voice control, telephone dock framework and many more features. It will be the first-in-class sedan to offer side airbags alongside front airbags. But they’ll be present only in the top-end model. The launch of the Figo Aspire will take place by the fag end of the first half of 2015 and be trailed by the launch of its hatchback sibling later this year.
