It’s confirmed – the Bajaj CS400 will be known as the Bajaj Dominar 400 in India. The name has been officially confirmed by the Bajaj Auto. Also disclosed, the launch date for the flagship model, which is December 15.
As per the official statement, the word ‘Dominar’ is derived from a Spanish word which means ‘to excel or exceed in power”. This confirmation puts an end to the speculated names like Pulsar VS400 and Kratos for the most powerful Bajaj.
Engine derived from the KTM 390 family, the Dominar 400 is powered by a 373.2 cc single-cylinder, four-valve, liquid-cooled, fuel injected engine expected to produce 35 PS at 8000 rpm – 9 PS lesser than the KTM 390 twins.
