Last-week, we brought you an article on the Tata Nexon Geneva edition. Now, thanks to CarWale, we have photographs of the Tata’s EcoSport-Brezza rival spotted in all its production-ready glory.
Initially, previewed as a concept back at the 2014 Auto Expo, the compact SUV follows the Tata Motors’ IMPACT design language which sees it get a sporty and dynamic design. The front boasts of chrome ‘Humanity Line’ on the upper grille with projector lamps as well as LED DRLs. The taillamps too are LED and the floating roof adds to the overall aesthetics.
The production Nexon retains most of the exterior design characteristics of the concept which was showcased at the previous Auto Expo in 2014. However, the spy pictures here are said to have been taken at the Tata Motors production line. It can thus be termed as the first undisguised look of the India-spec model.
From the spy shots, it is evident that the model snapped appears to be the top-end trim as it comes with alloy wheels and projector headlamps. It also gets ORVM mounted turn indicators and roof rails. Powertrain options will include a 1.2-litre turbocharged Revotron petrol and a 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel. Both the motors are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, the option of AMT can’t be ruled-out either.
