Bajaj is expected to launch the Chetak electric scooter on January 14, 2020, according to a media report.
The Chetak will initially be sold in Pune. The e-scooter will be launched later in a phased manner in Bangalore and other metro cities.
The Chetak e-scooter uses an Intelligent Battery Management System IP67-rated battery pack. It also has a system of regenerative braking.
There are two riding modes for the scooter-Eco and Sport. Using a regular 5-15 amp plug, the battery can be recharged.
