Bajaj Auto have recently launched the Pulsar NS125 in Poland. The motorcycle was launched there at a price of PLS 7,999 (INR 1.58 lakh). We can expect the Pulsar NS125 to potentially come to India by next-year.
On design, the Pulsar NS125 looks similar to the Pulsar 135 LS sold here. We can see the motorcycle having a dual-seat set-up, also sporting a stylish dual-tone paint scheme. One feature that is recognisable on the motorcycle is the Combi Braking System (CBS).
The Indian government has made it mandatory for motorcycles and scooters up to 125cc to be available with either ABS or CBS from now onwards. This could well be a useful feature on the motorcycle. In Poland, the Pulsar 125 is sold with a fuel-injection system, which is not likely to be available on the India-spec model.
Powering the Pulsar NS125 will be a 124.4cc DTS-i engine. This engine produces 12 BHP of power along with 11 Nm of torque. The Pulsar NS125 will come with a 5-speed gearbox.
There is no word as of now regarding the launch of the motorcycle here. Bajaj launched the Discover 125 last-year, which at present is selling in decent numbers. The addition of the Pulsar NS125 will no doubt enhance Bajaj’s presence in the 125cc commuter segment.
We can expect the Pulsar NS125 to arrive at a price range of Rs. 55,000. It will rival the likes of the Hero Glamour, Honda Shine and the Yamaha Saluto. When launched, the Pulsar NS125 will dispatch the Pulsar 135 LS to become the most affordable Pulsar on-sale.
