Rajiv Bajaj confirmed the launch of Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS by March-2015!

Bajaj has been keeping itself away from the limelight for a while now but it surely is waiting for the right moment to launch what it has in store. There are no two ways to the fact that the company is working on launching a full faired Pulsar 200 SS (Super Sport) in 2015 and the same has started touching down on dealerships as well. Bajaj still hasn’t ventured into the category of more than Rs 1 lakh bike on its own but the year 2015 will see the company entering into slightly more premium segments than it is already in.

Rajiv Bajaj has already mentioned that the company will be launching four new bikes in 2015 and the company will enter the lucrative budget 400cc segment this year as a result of the new launches in stores. As per the latest reports which are coming in, Bajaj is planning to launch the Pulsar 400 SS later this year in the country alongside the Pulsar 200 SS. And now Mr. Rajiv Bajaj has confirmed that the Pulsar 200 SS will be launched within 3 months so the two are coming sooner than expected. The former was showcased at the Auto Expo 2014 and it was time that it hit the roads.

Earlier, the launch of 400 SS was scheduled to take place after the 200 SS made a debut and the elder sibling was to be launched later on. Bajaj will be following in the steps of KTM and it will launch the two the same way KTM launched the RC390 and RC200. The two Pulsar twins will be taking on the RC200 and RC390 but will be priced lower than these by a wide margin. Expect a price difference of about Rs 30,000-40,000 between the Pulsar and KTM counterparts.

The Pulsar 200 SS is expected to be priced at around Rs 1.25 lakh for the regular variant with its ABS counterpart being priced at a price of about Rs 10,000 more. The Pulsar 400 SS on the other hand will cost about Rs 1.5-1.6 lakhs and will come with ABS as standard. That also leaves us thinking, when will the Pulsar 400 CS hit the launchpad.
