The next-generation 2016 Bajaj Avenger follows the footsteps of the Harley Davidson Street 750. It gets baby Harley-like alloy wheels, spring-cover on the telescopic fork front suspension and all-black theme like seen on the Dark Custom theme. Further gets new body graphics, new instrument cluster with small digital display for the odometer and trip meter readings, and a blue-backlit Bajaj logo. Also note the new handlebar clamp finished in black and Avenger logo embedded.

The company is expected to roll-out 3 new variants of its only cruiser bike Avenger this week. This will be the fourth upgrade since its launch in 2005. The last upgrade it got was in 2010 in the form of 220cc engine from the Pulsar 220F. The Avenger is the only cruiser bike priced under Rs. 1 Lakh, which makes it the most affordable in its segment.

The new Avenger will be powered by a single cylinder 200cc motor borrowed from Pulsar 200NS. Although the engine capacity is smaller than the current version, it can still churn out an impressive power of 23.5bhp which is about 5bhp higher than the existing 220cc engine, and can produce a maximum torque of 18.3 Nm. Apart from the engine one of the three variants may also be offered with ABS and rear disc brake.

So far as the styling is concerned the existing Avenger is a perfect blend of style and comfort, thus, the new model is more an evolution of the old bike in its best form. The 2016 Avenger is expected to be priced around Rs. 81,596 (ex-Delhi).
