We expect BMW G310 GS to arrive in India, only after the launch of naked-roadster G310R, that is only in 2019.

Following the leak, the company has confirmed that it will not be launching the BMW G310R in India atleast for now. It was confirmed when avid biker Sahil Husain had asked them on Facebook. Last-month too, BMW India, President, Mr. Vikram Pawah speaking to The Times of India has officially confirmed that the launch of BMW G310R will not happen in India this-year.

The reason, BMW Motorrad India is currently setting-up the business operations to reach mass market before launching the entry-level motorcycles in the country, and it will take time, a lot of it actually! Though G310R and G310 GS are manufactured in India for the international markets, its not on the list for the home market anytime soon where the BMW 310cc twins are being manufactured.

A single-cylinder adventure motorcycle from the makers of R1200 GS is the best news any bike enthusiasts could hear. Sadly, if we are fortunate enough, we expect the BMW G310 GS could land in India sometime in 2019. This baby adventure tourer will lock horn with Royal Enfield Himalayan, upcoming Kawasaki Versys X-300, KTM 390 Adventure and Honda XRE 300 with more rivals in the works.
