Toyota is reportedly planning to bring the Yaris Ativ sedan to India. The Yaris Ativ, a strong-seller worldwide, is expected to replace the Etios from Toyota ‘s India line-up after it gets launch in end-2018. The sedan has been spotted testing on Indian roads, earlier too.
The Toyota Yaris Ativ is likely to reach India as the Toyota Vios.
Now the car has been spied completely undisguised at the unknown location, looking at the exterior, one can spot the V-shape grille, and attractive head lights at the front. And also you can note the LED DRLs, 16-inch alloy wheels from the spy pictures.
The Yaris Ativ has a coupe-like roof line, shark-fin Antenna and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Other features include automatic climate control, rear view camera and an engine start-stop function, It will have ABS with EBD and brake assist along with 7 airbags on the safety front.
Reported to launch in April-2018 to rival Maruti Ciaz, Honda City and Hyundai Verna.
The Yaris Ativ will come powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine developing 87 BHP of power. It will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission with CVT auto match gear box being an option. Prices are expected to start at around Rs. 8-10 lakhs to be estimated.
Toyota will show case the Yaris Ativ at the upcoming Auto Expo in February. It will rival the Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz after it gets launched. Expect the Yaris Ativ to make a mark in the market and bring volumes for Toyota.
