After the recent launch of the facelifted Toyota Innova in Indonesia, Toyota is now all-set to launch the facelifted version of Innova in the Indian market by this festive season i,e by the end of this September. The all-new facelifted Innova is featured with styling changes on the exterior along with some changes to the cabin. Since its initial launch in 2005, Innova was featured with mild updates to the bumpers and lights earlier in 2009. The currently available facelifted version was launched a couple of years ago, back in 2011. After these two updates, Innova will receive the upcoming updates in the form of third update from Toyota.
Coming to the changes, the upcoming facelifted Innova is featured with a new front bumper which accumulates a revised design for the air dam along with a new set of fog lamps which are in turn enclosed with chrome surrounds. The rear bumper is now equipped with an extra set of reflectors. The rear also has a thick chrome strip above the number plate housing. It also features a large chrome grill with three horizontal slats in the front. Coming to the interiors, the upcoming Innova will be featured with improved fabrics, new infotainment system which also has a roof mounted screen and a beige color scheme for all other interior components.
Toyota is expected to offer the Innova in seven variants i,e G (7 and 8 seater), GX (7 and 8 seater), VX (7 and 8 seater), and an all-new top-spec Z variant as per the reports obtained from Autocar India. The top-end Z variant will get additions like leather seats and wooden inlays in the interior trim. Coming to the technical specifications, the Toyota Innova facelift will be powered with the same 2.5-litre D4D diesel engine that produces a maximum power of 102bhp and a 2.0-litre VVT petrol engine which produces a maximum power of 130bhp.
