Suzuki Motorcycle India is now following Yamaha Motorcycle India’s strategy of launching a special edition variant of its existing range ahead of this festive season.
With the aim of boosting the sales and increasing the demand, the company is all-set to introduce special edition variants of the naked Gixxer as well as the faired Gixxer SF called ‘Suzuki Gixxer SP Edition’. The changes are purely cosmetic, while the power-train will remain identical to the standard bike.
What’s new? The exterior is finished in an exclusive matte grey and black dual-tone paint job with chequered flag graphics on the front fenders, and ‘SP’ logo around the badge (Gixxer) and front fairing (Gixxer SF). Both bikes also get a dual tone red and black seat and black-painted rims with red pinstripe. It will be based on the rear disc brake variants of the Gixxer and will hence come equipped with disc brakes at both ends.
But if you plan to go for the new Gixxer SP Edition, you need to shell-out of around Rs 5000 more than the regular variant.
