SsangYong has released the first sketches/renderings of its new XIV 1 Concept that will debut at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show in the coming days.
The SsangYong XIV-1 Concept, while premium, compares to the Honda CR-V and the Toyota RAV-4 when it comes to size. SsangYong says that the XIV-1 is a premium crossover utility vehicle concept car that was developed by the company as a strategic model for the global market.
“The ‘XIV-1′ focuses on realizing a future-oriented design based on our heritage, and is based on our product philosophy of ‘Robust, Specialty, and Premium,” said a spokesperson for Ssangyong Motor Company. “We believe that the vehicle, created based on a simple, dynamic and strong aesthetic value, will show the supremacy of our ingenious design.” he added.
First production of this vehicle will commence in the United States. Probably – but if we do, it will most likely get confused for the Range Rover Evoque.
