American car manufacturer, General Motors is scheduled to launch the new Chevrolet Spark facelift on 15th of October in India. The company might have decided the date very recently to smash Maruti Suzuki’s party, as the rivals have planned to launch their model on October 16.
The new Spark facelift will resemble the Spark EV shown at the 2010 Auto Expo and will sport a new front-end design with a two-part grille and a golden Chevrolet logo in the middle. The front & rear bumpers will also be new, and so will the rear-view mirrors which get integrated indicators. The changes to the rear are unknown at the moment.
Expect design tweaks to the interiors, although mechanicals will remain the same. These changes have been carried out by Chevrolet’s tech centre in Bangalore, which also worked on the recently upgraded Tavera. Also on the cards could be an 800cc 3-cylinder version of the current motor.
