Dilip Chhabria known as DC is one of the most successful designer or we can say one of the best modifiers in India to give a completely whole new look to the existing one. After DC’s eye catching modification to Toyota Fortuner, Mahindra XUV 500 and the recently unveiled Renault Duster, DC has planned to build sports car named Avanti which was showcased in the Auto Expo earlier in 2012.
DC is now intending to set-up a 60 crore manufacturing plant in Sanand (Gujarat) in order to build the Avanti sports car as well as a new super SUV. DC reported to Economic Times that, once a particular variant of the car has reached 4000 units of development then this model would be replaced by a new model in the market. DC’s new manufacturing plant is expected to produce 3500 units annually. DC’s Avanti sports car could be expected in early-2014 which would start its development in the existing DC’s workshop in the outskirts of Pune.
Coming to the technical specifications, it would be powered with a 2.0-litre Ford EcoBoost engine which has a maximum power output of 240 Bhp and would go from 0-100 kmph in less than 7 seconds. DC’s Avanti would be priced in 25-30 lakhs segment and the new Super SUV is expected to be showcased in the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. Nothing much is known about the DC’s upcoming Super SUV.
