Yet another limited edition variant from the Maruti less than a month after the debut of Maruti Suzuki Dzire Regal limited edition. This Ertiga Feliz limited edition is to mark the celebration of the MPV’s first anniversary. However, we know this limited edition variant is to keep their guard up to ensure the Chevrolet Enjoy MPV launch doesn’t eat into their market share.
Like the recently launched Dzire Regal, the Ertiga Feliz too features a same additional option such as silver-finish front grille, fog lamps and wing mirrors, body graphics, a rear spoiler, beige steering wheel cover and seat covers, a reverse parking sensor, new sill guards and floor mats. On the price front, the add-ons make the car costlier by about Rs 20,000 extra over the VXi (Petrol) and VDi (Diesel) variants.
The Ertiga Feliz is available only in the VXi & VDi trims and comes with updates to its interiors and exteriors, with no changes to the engine options. The car is powered by the same 1.4-litre K Series petrol and the 1.3-litre DDIS diesel engine producing 95 bhp @ 6000 rpm and 90 bhp @ 4000 rpm respectively. Price of Maruti Ertiga Feliz VXI variant is Rs 6.89 lakh while the Feliz VDI variant is available at Rs 8.24 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi).
Maruti would need to keep their guard up to ensure the Chevrolet Enjoy MPV launch doesn’t eat into their market share. The Enjoy MPV would be strong competitor as priced Rs 70,000 less and kept competitive to begin with. For Maruti, the need is to do all that can be done to boost Ertiga sales to stay in the competition, as well as ward off-sales decline that has come knocking on the company’s door.
