Well, look here, it’s the Maruti Ertiga facelift again. This is the second photographed sighting of the Ertiga facelift MPV on this blog this month. The Ertiga facelift is likely to get few mechanical changes, alongside the minor cosmetic changes. While the launch dates are still unknown, expect the facelift model to hit the streets by or before mid-2015.
The Ertiga facelift is expected to feature a revised bumper and grille design.
The Ertiga facelift will be blessed with new added features, including possibly an automated gearbox and expect the new model to be slightly pricier compared to the current model. The test-mule has its front-fascia taped-up including the badges, indicating that the front bumper and grille has been reidesigned to give a fresh lease of life.
The major change is expected under the hood with 10 per cent increase in fuel-efficiency like in the case of the new Swift. Change in engine blocks is quite unlikely, same 1.4-litre K-Series petrol engine and 1.3-litre diesel mill would continue duty. As of now, they deliver 16.02 kmpl and 20.77 kmpl mileage respectively. Reports also suggest that Maruti might consider adding an automated manual transmission (AMT) for the vehicle.
