Maruti Alto 800 Anniversary Edition celebrates 1 year of existence
We have witnessed a couple of special/limited edition launches from Maruti Suzuki including WagonR Madhavan Signature Edition and Alto K10 musiK edition recently. Now the festive month October is already here, and to add more spice to this festive season, Maruti Suzuki has introduced the Alto 800 Anniversary Edition to commemorate 1 year of existence in the Indian market.

Alto 800 is the top selling car from Maruti Suzuki’s India line-up. The current-model was launched in October-2012 and is doing well in the market. The company has clocked a record sales figure of 1 lakh units in just 124 days after its launch. In September-2013, the Alto sales collectively were 23000+ which include the K10 and Alto 800. This of course, comes as no surprise considering Maruti Suzuki’s extensive dealer network across India.
Refresher – Maruti Alto 800 comes powered by a 796cc 3 cylinder engine which generates a maximum power output of 47.5 bhp at 6000 rpm with a torque output of 69 Nm coming at 3500 rpm. This engine is mated with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The base model of Alto 800 is available for Rs 2.44 lakhs and top model of CNG Alto 800 is price at Rs 3.56 lakhs (both prices, ex-showroom Delhi).
