After receiving positive responses for the Passion Pro TR at 2014 Auto Expo in February this year, Hero MotoCorp has silently launched the same in India. Some days earlier, Hero had launched the facelift versions of Karizma, Xtreme, Pleasure and now, here comes the other one to join the chain of success.
Based on the Splendour platform but is positioned and priced slightly above the Splendor, the Hero Passtion Pro TR is a motorcycle which introduces an off-road theme on the commuter motorcycle. Compared to the standard version, the Passion Pro TR features a handlebar with crossbar, a headlight grille, knuckle guards, knee pads, on-off road tyres, bash plate to shield the engine, higher front fender with tyre hugger and new attractive graphics.
Powering the rugged Passion Pro TR is the same tried and tested 97.2cc engine from the standard version producing 7.8 PS of power at 7500 RPM and 8.04 Nm of torque at 4500 RPM. This bike uses a four speed manual gearbox with all gears up-shift pattern. The bike has a top speed of 90 kmph, and takes around 9 seconds to complete 0-60 kmph. To control all this serious power on loose gravel, it also features a 240 mm disc brake unit at the front.
The Passio Pro TR will be available in three colours – electric blue, sports red and black with sports red. The company hasn’t mentioned the price on their website but we can expect this bike to be at least Rs 3,000 more expensive than the regular Passion Pro, which is around Rs. 53,500 (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
