Ford Figo and Aspire to get touch-screen infotainment system

Ford Figo and Aspire models will be getting a touch-screen infotainment system in a product update set to happen by 2018.

2016-ford-figo-aspire-infotainment-system-pictures-photos-images-snaps-videoThe current Ford Figo & Aspire offer a SYNC 1 infotainment system.

The current Figo and Aspire top-end Titanium+ trim gets a SYNC 1 infotainment system with small black-blue non touch-screen display with buttons and voice commands support. Now the growing popularity of the touch-screen infotainment system across all the segments in India has forced the American car maker to work on it!

The new touch-screen system will result in significant change in the look and feel of the existing centre console as the current location of the infotainment display is too far up to be accessed easily while driving , probably will borrow design cues from the Ford C-Max or Ford Focus (both not sold in India). The twins are unlikely to receive the upmarket feature before the mid-life refresh which is due for 2018, reports AutoCarIndia.

It’s unclear if the rumored touch-screen infotainment system will be the SYNC 2 system from the 2016 Ford Endeavour or a whole new package sourced from another OEM.
