Chinese bike maker, Eider Motors has entered the Indian market with the launch of its 9 new affordable models offering the Leora 125cc scooter, 250cc CFMoto Jetmax scooter, Big Boy 250cc cruiser bike, Huddi 250cc motorcycle, Etania 150cc motorcycle, CFMoto Dave 150cc motorcycle, Dronzer 150cc motorcycle, Stoic 110cc motorcycle and flagship offering in 650cc segment, the CFMoto 650 NK.
The above two-wheeler’s are actually a product of China-based CFMOTO that has been introduced in India by Eider Motors, the company today has 25 dealerships across the country including two in Maharashtra. Hyderabad-based Eider Motors forayed into Indian market last-year by launching 6 new two-wheeler’s.
However, the reliability and after sales support is questionable at the moment up-till the Eider Motors makes some announcements.
Eider CFMoto 650 NK
The CFMoto 650 NK is priced Rs. 3.37 lakh (ex-showroom Andhra Pradesh). The pricing is comparatively way cheaper than other 600-650 cc street bike offerings from mainstream brands like Kawasaki and Benelli. The 650 NK draws power from a 649.3cc Liquid-cooled DOHC 8-valve parallel-twin four-stroke engine delivers 56 bhp at 9,500 rpm and 62 Nm at 7,000 rpm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Eider Huddi
The Huddi 250cc motorcycle priced Rs. 1.16 lakh (ex-showroom Andhra Pradesh). It looks-like the design combination of a Honda CBR250R and the Benelli TNT 899. Powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve, liquid-cooled petrol engine develops 26.14 BHP of power @ 9,000 RPM and 21 Nm of torque @ 7,000 RPM matched to a 6-speed gearbox. This unit misses-out fuel injection instead gets a KT30 carburetor.
Eider Big Boy
The Big Boy priced at Rs. 84,887 (ex-showroom Delhi) is a cheapest 250cc cruiser motorcycle in India, dethroning UM Renegade Commando and Hyosung Aquila 250. It has a good road presence with typical cruiser styling,lots of chrome, saddle bag and twin exhaust tips. Comes equipped with 250cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, 4-stroke, 4-valve petrol engine producing 26.15 BHP of power and 21 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox.
Eider Dronzer
The Dronzer priced at Rs. 1.33 lakh (ex-showroom Andhra Pradesh) is far high than its nearest competitor the Yamaha YZF-R15. However, the bike features upside down front fork and dual front disc brake. Powering the bike is a 150cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled, carburetor fed petrol engine producing 11.5 PS of power @ 8,000 RPM paired to a 5-speed gearbox. It has a top-speed of 120 kmph.
Eider CFMoto Dave
The CFMoto Dave 150 naked sportsbike priced at Rs. 1.34 lakh (ex-showroom Andhra Pradesh). It sports a 149.4cc, Single-cylinder, Liquid-cooled, EFI, with overhead cam shaft petrol motor producing 14.34 BHP of power @ 9,000 RPM and 12.2 Nm of torque @ 6,800 RPM matched to a 6-speed gearbox. Although priced-high, its direct rivals include Suzuki Gixxer and Honda CB Hornet 160R.
Eider Etania
The Etania 150cc motorcycle priced at Rs. 67,426 competes with the likes of Bajaj Pulsar 150 & the CB Unicorn 150. But USP is the with sculpted body panels, turn indicator on fuel tank, exposed chassis, split seat, rear monoshock and LED tail lamp. Comes equipped a 150cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke petrol motor producing 11.4 PS of power @ 8,000 RPM & 10.5 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed gearbox.
Eider Stoic
Trying to concentrate on the high volume entry level commuter motorcycle segment, Eider Motors even launched their bare-bone motorcycle, the Stoic priced at Rs. 49,045 (ex-showroom Andhra Pradesh). Although the price is very competitive, the styling & equipment has no compromise. The engine is a 110cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke petrol motor producing 7.2 BHP of power mated to a 4-speed gearbox and has a claimed top speed of 100 kmph.
Eider CFMoto Jetmax
The CFMoto Jetmax power scooter priced at Rs. 1.57 lakh (ex-showroom Andhra Pradesh) has no competition yet, although the Hero Zir and Honda PCX were showcased at the Auto Expo, these models hasn’t turned out to be a reality till now. Powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke petrol motor producing 22.13 HP of power @ 8,000 RPM and 21 Nm of torque @ 6,500 RPM matched to a belt-type automatic gearbox. Noteworthy features include dual headlamps, large contoured seats, dual disc brakes at the front, single disc at the rear, LED tail lamps and a stereo system to give you company while going out for long rides.
Eider Leora
The Leora scooter priced at Rs. 49,459 (ex-showroom Andhra Pradesh) will compete with the Piaggio Vespa and the Yamaha Fascino. Although the design is not extremely striking, its retro styling, lots of chrome and cheap pricing will grab the buyers. It draws power from a 124.6cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke, petrol engine producing 11.5 BHP of power and 10.5 Nm of torque paired to an automatic CVT gearbox. It has a claimed top speed of 110 kmph.
