Previously referred to as the Bajaj Pulsar CS400, it looks like Bajaj Auto’s long anticipated cruiser sports motorcycle will be called the Bajaj Pulsar VS400.
The Pulsar VS400 is scheduled to launch during this year’s festive season, think of it as Bajaj’s answer to the Mahindra Mojo and Royal Enfield Himalayan. Highlights include futuristic looking LED headlamps, auxiliary digital display on the fuel tank, meaty tyres, stubby silencer and the signature twin LED taillight strips.
The leaked reports bearing ARAI header gives the following statement: it confirms the 373.27 cc engine powering the Pulsar VS400 is the same unit that powers the KTM Duke 390. However, compared to its Austrian-cousin which develops 43 BHP, the VS400 produces lower power output of 25.74 kW (34.51 BHP) at 8,000 rpm.
The leaked report also reveals a gross vehicle weight of 332 kg of the Pulsar VS400. Gross Weight includes the bike’s kerb weight, weight of fuel, oil, rider as well as pillion.
