In order to keep the momentum running, Bajaj Auto launched the Bajaj Platina ComforTec which is claimed to be 20% more comfortable than the best selling 100cc motorcycle.
Priced at Rs. 43,241 for the kick start variant and Rs. 45,252 for the electric start variant (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Platina ComforTec has 28% longer front suspension and 28% longer double spring rear suspension.
Further assisted by ‘Spring Soft’ seat and rubber footpads, the Platina ComforTec is said to be 20% more resistant to jerks compared to an undisclosed leading 100 cc motorcycle it was tested against. Apart from these packages, the entry-level Bajaj features no other major or mechanical changes.
Powered by the same 102 cc DTS-i engine that develops 8.2 PS (8.08 hp) at 7,500 rpm and 8.6 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm mated to a 4-speed transmission. The company claims to return an impressive mileage of upto 104 KMPL (as per ARAI testing norms). A total of 3 colours are on offer: Red, Black and Blue.
