Bajaj Auto has launched an all-new model of its entry-level commuter motorcycle, christened as Bajaj Platina 100 ES. The Platina ES, as its name suggests, comes gets an electric starter alongside the standard kick starter, priced at Rs. 44,507 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The redesigned headlamp cowl is finished in better aerodynamic shape.
The Platina ES gets host of cosmetic and mechanical updates to set it apart from the rivals, the cosmetic updates include a redesigned headlamp cowl & side panels, an altered exhaust, new body graphics and three body colours – black, blue and red. It also gets body-coloured grab rails and three new paint schemes – Ebony Black, Electron Blue and Candy Red.
New side panels and brighter graphics embellish the Platina 100 ES.
The Bajaj’s entry-level commuter motorcycle is now powered by a Discover 100M’s 102cc DTS-i engine with an ExhausTEC system. This engine produces 8.1 bhp @ 7500 rpm and 8.6 Nm of torque @ 5000 rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel through a 4-speed, all down-shift gearbox. The company claims to return an impressive mileage of upto 96.9kmpl.
