Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd – the Indian subsidiary of Piaggio & C. SpA of Italy, has unveiled the Aprilia SR 150 scooter for Indian market at last-month’s 2016 Auto Expo.
The SR 150 is the first scooter under the Aprilia brand to be showcased in India, and it wasn’t just a display at the Piaggio Pavilion. It will actually be locally manufactured and launched later this-year in the Indian market. As per the rumors around the web, this scooter will be price around in the range of Rs 80,000 to Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom).
This scooter offers the features of a sport bike and the convenience of a scooter. Powered by a 154.4 cc single-cycle air-cooled engine is paired with a CVT transmission. The carbureted motor with three valves, tuned to produce 11.55 PS at 7,000 rpm and 11.5 Nm at 5,500 rpm, which is also seen on the Vespa 150 on-sale now.
