Chennai-based motor company, TVS Motor has announced the brand ambassador for its TVS Scooty range, the sizzling upcoming Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma. Beside Anushka Sharma, Priyanka Chopra is associated with Hero Pleasure and Kareena Kapoor is associated with Mahindra Two Wheelers.  Currently, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli are the two Indian cricketers who endorse TVS’ Star City range of commuter motorcycles.

According to H S Goindi, President Marketing, TVS Motor Company, said “Anushka Sharma was an immediate choice for the TVS Scooty brand. She is well known for being spunky with her distinctive style and is an icon for young girls in India. She is seen by young women as one who is living her goals of being vivacious, independent and successful. We are confident that this association will further enhance the popular TVS Scooty Brand.”

Talking about the TVS Motors’ Scooty range, the range of scooterettes are lighter and cheaper than most other automatic scooters in the markets and are hence preferred by women, while the men prefer the more powerful range of automatic scooters. Recently launched TVS Wego 110 has been great success, the company is planning to expand its automatic scooter portfolio with the launch of a 125cc four stroke offering and a test launch of a hybrid scooter, which will be a first for the Indian scooter market.

Coming back to Ms. Sharma, she has being associated with TVS Motor since 2005 when she did a promo for the same company. “It’s almost like ‘homecoming’ for me. As a young woman I know how important independence and mobility is to me. TVS Scooty has always understood young women of India and it feels great that I now have an opportunity to be a part of the rich legacy of a brand such as TVS Scooty,” Anushka adds.
