For all the Gixxer lovers in the Indian market, here are pictures of the modified Suzuki Gixxer 155 posted by folks at Gixxer Club Pondicherry.
The modified Gixxer 155 draws inspiration from bigger Kawasaki Z1000 with a twin-split headlamp with sharp plastic kit, a large visor, custom rear view mirrors, modified handlebars, smart phone holder, under belly pan and a host of chrome accents throughout its makeup. A split-seat with a raised pillion section adds a sporty appeal.
Furthermore, you can see the crash guards removed to make way for crash bungs (protector) and also note the weird triple piped elements that we assume are the engine guards. On the back side, the rear fenders have been removed, while the number plate holders and turn indicators are mounted on a customised tyre hugger.
There are no mechanical modifications, so the modified Gixxer 155 continues to be powered by a 155cc single-cylinder air-cooled carburetted engine that produces 14.8 PS at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. However, we aren’t familiar with modification cost incurred but the prices for the standard Gixxer starts from Rs. 76,726 (ex-showroom Delhi).
