It is no secret that Suzuki has started working on the next-generation Swift, and its leaked pictures have already surfaced online. The Swift is offered in 3 body styles worldwide – regular 4-door hatchback, 4-door sports model and 2-door sports model. A 4-door sedan is especially designed for India.
The third-generation model includes sports body-style, however, Suzuki is yet to reveal any details on it, including how it looks. Thanks to Japanese magazine and their renderings of a Swift Sport, we now have a rough idea of what such a model might look like. The render seen here takes a leaked third-gen Swift as base, and adds a spruced-up sporty body kit to it.
Finished in Glossy Yellow exterior shade, the Swift Sport gets a black finished alloy wheels, rear diffuser and skirts that sporty adds a sporty character to the segment leader. Further gets a broad honeycomb grille, larger intakes, smaller headlamps with LED DRLs, roof spoiler and dual exhaust pipes. It will have exclusive color theme, materials and features like its successor.
Based on Suzuki’s new compact car platform that has better crash protection and rigidity, the Swift Sport is likely to replace the 1.6-litre petrol motor for the 1.4-litre BoosterJet turbocharged petrol engine from the Suzuki Vitara S, which develops 136 PS and 220 Nm of torque paired to a CVT gearbox. An AllGrip all-wheel drive system will be available for the Suzuki Swift Sport.
