The updated Bajaj Pulsar 220F for 2017 model year with BS IV-compliant completes the range. Like its younger sibling, the 2017 220F is also available in two new paint schemes – Red/Black and Blue/White.
The flagship Pulsar model is priced Rs 91,201 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is now Rs 2,274 more expensive than the outgoing model.
Apart from the new paint schemes with fresh body decals, the new 220F gets redesigned exhaust canister with matte black finish, and the instrument cluster gets a blue backlight. The company claims that the contoured seats come with ‘premium material’ providing additional comfort and stability to the rider and pillion claimed to have better cushioning.
The major change though has been in the engine compartment. The BS IV single-cylinder 220cc oil-cooled DTS-i engine continues to produce 21bhp and 19Nm of torque through a 5-speed transmission. Although the powertrain has been updated to meet BS IV emission norms, there is no change in the power output.
