2017 Bajaj Pulsar 200NS relaunched – Rs. 96,453, No ABS on offer

Bajaj Auto has officially relaunched its popular-motorcycle the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS in India. The naked street bike now comes new set of paint schemes and body graphics, BSIV compliant engine, underbelly pan and Auto Headlamp On (AHO).

Like most Bajaj facelifts, the 200NS too gets a new set of paint schemes and body graphics.

The new Pulsar 200NS retains the same engine as on the previous generation vehicle. The 199.5cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor is now BS-IV compatible, it makes 23.52PS of power at 9,500rpm and 18.3Nm of torque at 8,000rpm, the same as before. This is a same engine that also powers the RS200 and the KTM Duke 200, however, the 200NS gets a carburetor instead of the fuel-injection (Fi).

Based on the same perimeter frame as the earlier model, the 2017 200NS’s kerb weight stands at 151kg, which is 6kg heavier than the older bike; the extra weight could be partly due to the modifications made for the BSIV compliance. The exhaust system continues to be an underbelly unit.

A total of 3 new colours are on offer – Graphite Black, Mirage White & Wild Red. Though ABS is not on offer for now, we hope an optional higher ABS-equipped variant will be introduced in the near future!
