Here it is, everyone, the 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 200NS as it arrives at a dealership in India. This new model was recently showcased at the dealer event in Turkey.
As you can see, the new Pulsar 200NS’s overall exterior design is similar to the outgoing model. However, few cosmetic changes include a new dual-tone colour schemes, ‘200’ sticker on the tank extension, pin striping on the wheels and an engine cowl (underbelly pan).
As this in the outgoing model, under the skin, you’ll find a 199.5 cc triple-spark engine which is also found in the Pulsar RS200. But unlike its faired-sibling, the 200NS is likely to continue with a carburettor instead of fuel injection. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, this unit produces 23.52 PS of maximum power at 9,500 rpm and 18.3 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm.
The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 200NS with or without fuel injection, will meet the upcoming stricter BSIV emission norms. However, for export markets like Turkey and Russia get a fuel injected version of this engine. As the ABS ring has not been seen on any pictures yet, hinting us that the Bajaj Auto might skip it at least at the launch.
