At the 2012 Paris Motor Show, Lamborghini unveiled a facelifted Gallardo for the 2013 model year. Now the folks at Overdrive.in have announced that the 2013 version of the Gallardo will hit the Indian market soon. The company has confirmed, in a short 2 minute film and a mini website, that the 2013 model year Gallardo will be the last one.

The 2013 Gallardo indicated some changes to the front and rear styling. The new front end is characterized by triangular and trapezoidal forms – two shapes that are highly typical of the Lamborghini design language. The air intakes are also larger in shape. The car also gets a new pairs of alloy wheels, 19”inch matt black finish aluminium wheels with polished silver spokes.

Under the hood, the engine will remain the same with a 5.2-liter V10 producing 560 hp at 8000 rpm and max torque of 540 Nm at 6500 rpm. The new Gallardo will weigh 1550 kgs and will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 4 seconds, reaching a top speed of 324 kmph.

A successor to the Gallardo is in the works and will have a brand new name, some new styling cues inspired by the Aventador, but no word on what engine will power the successor.
