Audi, the German auto manufacturers showcased their new Sports Utility Vehicle Q3 on January 5th 2012 at the Delhi Auto Show 2012. This car is what the company feels will be one of the most desired vehicles in the Indian luxury segment and will compete with the likes of BMW and Mercedes Benz on a number of fronts. Though the company did not reveal any details regarding rates or dates of launch at the show, Indian audience can expect to see Audi Q3 with Quattro four wheel drive system and available in both petrol and diesel variants. Q3 petrol will have a 2.0-litre TFSI turbo petrol engine which will offer 211 bhp, while the diesel engine will be of 2.0-litre TDi offering output of 176 bhp. Prices are likely to be competitive and to lower costs, the Q3 will be assembled at VW’s Aurangabad facility. The compact Audi Q3 is expected to take on BMW’s X1, in both price and performance. This should prove quite interesting in the Audi vs BMW war as round one went to the BMW X3, which in our comparo bested the Audi Q5, which we found a little long in the tooth. Auto Q3 holding place of pride at the Audi the pavilion could be seen with none other than Bollywood actress, Katrina Kaif who posed with the car during its launch. Audi pavilion will also be displaying Audi A3 E-Tron concept, V10 R8 Spyder, Audi S6 coupe and RS5.   Also see - Spied – Audi Q3 yet again in Mumbai (Video)
