Few weeks ago, Yamaha India officially announced that the Yamaha R15 v3.0 will “become better in its next iteration“. This hinted that in terms of performance and safety, the R15 v3.0 will be a step-up from the existing model.
In these photos taken at some dealer in Indonesia, we see a R15 fitted with a new pair of headlamps and instrument cluster which has a very close resemblance to the R25. There are possibilities that either it’s a special edition variant limited to the Indonesian market or a variant for the region.
However, there are no other cosmetic changes reported including body graphics remain intact to the current generation model. The R15 v3.0 (codenamed Yamaha BG7) would sport ABS and CBS as part of the standard equipment, and also gain a new 155 cc VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) engine when launches sometime next-year here in India.
