Now that Yamaha’s flagship next-generation motorcycle had been launched, the attention now shifts toward the other vehicles in its line-up. This includes the next-generation YZF-R15, which been speculatively rendered by MotoBlast here.
With strong influences from the YZF-R125 and the YZF-R6, this imagining of an YZF-R15 V3.0 features the brand’s trademark ‘sharper dual’ headlight fairing with a faux air intake in the centre. Other design elements are taken from the MT-15 include the alloy-wheels and the lowered pillion seat, which too will be welcomed by Yamaha fans.
The YZF-R15 V3.0 is most likely share its mechanical bits with the MT-15 and thus is speculated to come loaded with an upside down fork upfront – an equipment that was not seen on the current models. It might continue to be powered by the same 149.8cc, SOHC, 4 Valve engine capable of delivering 17PS of power and 15Nm of torque. The engine will come mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Although there has been no official statement from Yamaha India regarding the launch of R15 V3, but with Auto Expo nearing, we expect some big announcements soon.
