Yamaha Motor India has updated its reasonably priced Alpha 110 scooter with two dual-tone paint schemes – Rocking Red and Beaming Blue. It costs Rs. 1,000 extra over the single tone colors.
The Yamaha Alpha was last updated in March-2015 with the new Blue Core technology and a fresh Gleaming Gold dual-tone color. Now a total of 8 different shades are on offer – Radiant White, Fiery Red, Graceful Grey, Brilliant Black, Magical Magenta, Gleaming Gold, Beaming Blue and Rocking Red. It features the telescopic front suspension, long and comfortable seat and a large (21-litre) under-seat storage.
There are no mechanical changes. Powering the Alpha is the same 113cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled engine with Blue Core technology mated to a CVT automatic gearbox. This engine churns-out 7bhp of maximum power at 7500rpm and peak torque of 8.1Nm which kicks in at 5000rpm. The scooter has a claimed fuel efficiency of 66 kmpl. Braking power is provided by drum brakes at both front and rear.
