Here’s an interesting one for you. The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is now officially open for bookings in India with an upfront payment of Rs. 11,000.
According to Mr. R.S. Kalsi, Executive Director, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki, the launch of Maruti S-Cross is scheduled for the first week of August. The S-Cross premium crossover will be sold via Maruti’s new Nexa premium dealerships, and will compete with the likes of the upcoming Hyundai Creta, Ford EcoSport, Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano.
The S-Cross will be available with a choice of two diesel engines – 1.3-litre (DDiS 200) and 1.6-litre (DDiS 320). The DDiS 320 achieves fuel-efficiency of 22.70kpl, while the DDiS 200 claims 23.65kpl. It will be offered in five trim levels called Sigma, Sigma (O), Delta, Zeta and Alpha. The DDiS 200 will be available in all of those trims, whereas the DDiS 320 will only come in the top three.
