Tata Motors have launched another special edition of their popular compact SUV, the Nexon for the Indian market. Christened the Nexon Kraz, Tata Motors have launched the compact SUV in a colour theme of Calgary White. The company did launch the Nexon Kraz in September last year, albeit in a shade of Tromso Black.
This was launched to celebrate the first anniversary of the Nexon in the Indian market. Deliveries have commenced and it will be offered on the XT variant, thus available in Kraz and Kraz+ trims. The Nexon Kraz is available in a price ranging between Rs. 7.28-8.8 lakh (ex-showroom).
Tata Motors will offer as much as 10 styling upgrades on the Nexon Kraz inside and out. Some of these include green accents across the exterior, a silver roof-liner on the inside, new green colour ORVM’s and stitching on seats. It will have features like a four-speaker Harman system, automatic AC control, steering mounted audio controls and rear parking sensors.
The Nexon Kraz employs a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine, which gives 108 BHP of power and 170 Nm of torque. There is also an option of a 1.5-litre Revotorq diesel engine, delivering 108 BHP of power and 260 Nm of torque. Both come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The Nexon has been in the limelight for quite some time now, and deservedly so. It holds the distinction of being the only Indian vehicle to get a 5-star safety rating at the Global NCAP crash test conducted some time ago. With the result being great, we can see the fan following of the Nexon to only grow from now onwards.
