Just a few days ago, TVS launched the iconic Apache series’ latest 2020 models. The RTR 200 4V and RTR 160 4V motorcycles are included in this newly updated range. These two bikes are now getting compatible BS-VI engines and a range of cosmetic and technical upgrades. So, TVS has introduced a funky new ad to promote the newly launched bikes on the market.
Speaking about the newly launched motorcycles, the 2020 Apache RTR 160 4V is now fitted with a 159.7cc compliant BS-VI, a single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine with a maximum power output of around 16.02 PS at 8,250 RPM and a peak torque of 14.12 Nm at 7,250 RPM. This engine is then matched to a super-slick 5-speed gearbox that offers a powerful and accurate riding experience. On the other hand, the 2020 Apache RTR 200 4V is powered by an advanced 197.75cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine with a maximum output of around 20.5 PS at 8,500 RPM and a peak torque of 16.8 Nm at 7,500 RPM, all transmitted to the rear wheel via a 5-speed gearbox.
In terms of features, both the motorcycles now come fitted with first-in-class high-performance radial rear tyre for enhanced stability and ride quality, a new Race Tuned-Fuel injection‘ RT-Fi’ technology to ensure an enjoyable racing experience in all driving conditions and a new segment-first feature called GTT–(Glide Through Traffic) to help manoeuvre during low-speed traffic. Certain advanced features such as the SmartXonnect system, the dual-channel ABS with RLP (Rear wheel Lift-off Protection) control and the RT-Slipper Clutch are available on the latest TVS Apache RTR 2004V.
Prices for the new 2020 RTR 160 4V start for the drum brake variant from INR 99,950 (ex-showroom, India) and go up to INR 1,03,000 (ex-showroom, India) for the top-spec disk variant. Although INR 1,24,000 (ex-showroom, India) is priced for the latest 2020 RTR 200 4V. The bookings for these bikes have also already started.
