Fresh of the success of its premiums 400cc motorcycle, the Dominar, Bajaj Auto could launch more products under the Dominar brand. Reports suggest that first bike from this platform could be the scrambler version of the flagship motorcycle, the Dominar.
The scrambler version of the Dominar could compete directly with the upcoming scrambler version of the Mojo. There is a great demand for scrambler bikes in the international market as well the Ducati Scrambler is currently the best-selling model for the Italian marquee.
The upcoming Bajaj scrambler might feature a chunky tank, with a full LED headlamp, slipper clutch, long travel suspension, knobby tyres, digital instrument, cluster backlit switches, and a retro-bike design. It could come with the same 373.2cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled DTS-i engine found on the Dominar, possibly retuned for the purpose the scrambler will serve.
The report also say that Bajaj Auto is now busy getting its marketing plan in place for the upcoming scrambler and it could be sold under an all-new brand name. Expect it to be priced aggressively like it’s Dominar sibling, for which the pricing is an icing on the cake.
