Earlier this-year at the 2012 Indian Auto Expo held in New Delhi, TVS Motors showcased 125cc four-stroke commuter motorcycle, in the form of the Radeon concept. And since then vehicle has been spotted many times in South India. Now this very motorcycle could be launched very soon, but with a new name ‘Phoenix 125’.

- Aircraft inspired decals
- Black alloy wheels
- Dual spring rear suspension

The Phoenix 125 carries similar design cues as seen on the TVS Star City, with an all-black engine, exhaust and six-spoke alloy wheels. The TVS Phoenix 125 is expected to feature the same 125cc engine that powers the Flame SR125. The 125cc, four stroke engine which operates on three valves delivers a peak power of 10.5 Bhp and a peak torque of 10 Nm. The good looking petal disc brakes in front hint at it being positioned towards the premium side of the 125-cc segment at an estimated price of Rs 55,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The company unveiled the TVS Phoenix 125 at ‘TVS Storm Ahead’ event held on 17-18 August in Bangkok and is slated to be launched by this-October in India. After the launch of the Phoenix 125, expect TVS Motors to focus on launching the new Victor and a 125cc automatic scooter later this year. Also, a hybrid scooter called the Qube is expected to be test launched later this year to gauge the market response of the market to the first hybrid scooter in India.
