TVS Radeon 125cc motorcycle - FrontView

Recently the TVS upcoming motorcycle, the Radeon was seen undergoing some tests in the Southern part of the country. Now our good friend at Motorbeam has snapped the spy pics of the same again at Bangalore, Karnataka. From the images the bike look almost production ready, so we can expect this Radeon motorcycle to go on-sale around August-September, this-year.

The Radeon sports typical-TVS styling, with all the right kit in place for its segment, plus a healthy dose of additional features not yet common in the 125cc segment, like a front petal-type disc brake. The new model comes equipped with blackened six-spoke alloy rims, smart stitching on its saddle and a flush rear tail-light. Much of the bike’s lower section comes clocked in black including its front forks, engine, chain cover and swingarm.

Under the skin, the bike has a powerful 125 cc engine, which is air cooled and has a single cylinder. This engine will produce 10.5 BHP of peak power at 7500 RPM and 10 Nm of torque at 6000 RPM. The engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, against the 4-speed gearbox which does duty on the Flame. The Radeon will have a top speed of around 95 km/h and will be high on fuel efficiency.

The pricing of the bike is expected to be somewhere around Rs. 55,000 but the news is yet to be confirmed. TVS will offer choice of two variants for the upcoming Radeon 125cc motorcycle:

  • Self Start featuring drum brakes &
  • Self Start featuring front disc brake

The Radeon seems to be TVS’ reply to the recently launched Bajaj Discover 125 ST and the company has lot of hopes from this bike to help it regain its lost position amongst the top three.
