Mahindr’s new crossover KUV100 is certainly one of the most awaited cars in this year. The bookings for the KUV100 has already started on 19th December, 2015, almost one month prior to its official launch on the 15th of January, 2016 at dealerships across India.
The Mahindra KUV100 will be the first SUV to be powered by companies home grown mFalcon engine and will be offered in both petrol and diesel options. The petrol 1.2-litre mFalcon G80 is configured to genrate 82bhp and a max torque of 114NM, and the 1.2-litre mFalcon D75 turbocharged diesel can generate 77bhp and a max torque of 190Nm. Anti-lock braking system (ABS) will be offered as a standard across all variants.
The KUV100 will be equipped with a host of advanced features like in-dash music system with bluetooth, voice command system, driver information system, steering mounted audio controls, reverse parking sensors, ABS and even dual airbags. It will be available in a total of 7 colours – Fiery Orange, Flamboyant Red, Dazzling Silver, Aquamarine, Pearl White, Designer Grey and Midnight Black. It is expected that the KUV100 will be priced in the range of 4-6 lakhs.
The KUV100 is targeted at the young buyers and to gain the attention bollywood actor Varun Dhawan has been signed as the brand ambassador for the SUV.
