SPYSHOTS: Closer look at the TVS Apache RTR 200 spotted on-test (Video)

We have new local spyshots of the yet-to-be-launched TVS Apache RTR 200 on-test, thanks to our good friends at Motoroids. These spy pictures offer us a closer look at what could be on offer!

From the spy pictures, the test-mule looks production ready featuring high-raised handle bar in matte black finish, awkward placed aircraft-type fuel filler cap, split seats, raised pillion seat which has storage space under it, good pillion grab bars, conventional side blinkers and headlamp, aluminium foot-pegs with rubber for extra grip, tubeless TVS tyres, aluminium brake and clutch levers, telescopic front-suspension, mono-shock rear suspension and petal disc brakes.

Design-wise, the Apache RTR 200 will draw cues from the Draken Concept with large tank shrouds, muscular tank, underbelly protector, seat structure, alloy wheels and faux honeycomb grille on the side and rear. The major highlight of this spyshots is the clear look at the fully-digital instrument cluster that displays speed, engine rpm, fuel level, time, gear engaged, odometer, trip meter, service reminder and ABS icon below the screen.

The exhaust piper gets a unique new shape with dual port exhaust. We are sure there will be a covering the tip in a final production version. Athough the engine details are scarce as of now, it is expected to be powered by a new 200cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine producing around 25 PS peak power and 20 Nm peak torque, the engine will be mated to a 6-speed transmission.

The new flagship TVS Apache RTR 200 is expected to debut at the 2016 Auto Expo in Greater Noida in February-2016.
