The Bajaj Avenger has come a long way over the years. Spotting a classic design, it was first born as the Eliminator in 2002, developed jointly by Bajaj and Kawasaki, which the market was not ready for.

The Avenger 400 is likely to launch in both Street and Cruise avatars in mid-2017.

Demand for cruiser bikes increased thereafter, promoting Bajaj to launch one of their own, christened the Avenger in 2006. It was well received. In 2015, the popular cruiser from Bajaj was given a massive update with excellent job. The retro design can replicate their success with a higher displacement cruiser, and we expect it will maintain familiarity to its siblings.

After the success of the recently launched Dominar, Bajaj Auto is looking to give the Avenger the 373.2cc liquid cooled single cylinder engine. The design will remain classic yet timeless on our roads, and it could see an increase in its power torque to take care of cruising duties. The performance figures also could vary from their performance machines.

The Avenger 400 could get features like Electric start, Speedometer, Tachometer, Fuel gauge etc. Windscreen and Pillion back rest could be present considering that they are optional in the current-range. It could be priced aggressively by Bajaj, reports suggesting that it could be priced around 1.5 – 1.8 lakh, which undercuts it’s rivals by a decent margin.

But the picture that’s put up is a V-Twin, not a single-cylinder. I was just about ready to upgrade my 220.

So will the next offering be Bajaj Avenger 400??? As they trademarked “ADVENTURER” moniker????

  • Bajaj Auto has made the Dominar 400’s platform such that it can be used for different types of motorcycles, like an adventure tourer, cafe racer and scrambler. The report in leading automobile magazine revealed that the bigger Avenger and a more premium Pulsar (Dominar) has been developed simultaneously, thus, there are more chances of Avenger 400 launching prior to its adventure sibling. However, there is no concentrate report about the company’s next-offering, as of now.

Am waiting for the launch of Avenger 400,hopefully bajaj will give a best powerful cruiser………I planned to buy royalenfield, but RE bikes are costly with less feautures and there is no better cruiser in that segment and i heard lot of field complaints like vibration, oil leakage, etc in RE bikes. But bajaj is giving the best bikes with advanced safety features.Hope Avenger 400 will fulfill many cruiser riders….

  • Newer Royal Enfield models are improved much-more than the earlier trouble ones, on the other hand Bajaj Auto is well-known to delay the launch of its vehicles, as of now there are no confirmed statement or report on the Avenger 400 launch this-year!

It looks beautiful, save for the wheels. A very bad choice, check most of custom bikes. Gladly something not that hard to change with a low cost
