UM Motorcycles, partner of the Lohia Group, officially launched the Renegade Commando Mojave and Renegade Commando Classic in India priced at Rs 1.80 lakh and Rs 1.89 lakh ex-showroom Delhi, respectively.
UM Renegade Commando Classic
These new Renegade range was first showcased last year at the 2016 Auto Expo. The bookings for the two models has already commenced while deliveries will start by end of this month. UM Lohia 2-wheelers have 60 dealerships operational in the country currently, and both the motorcycles are targeted towards young upcountry customers with a progressive mindset.
Positioned as a touring machine, the Commando Classic comes with a dual-tone metallic paint with Copper Cream and Glossy Black shade, it gets a tank pad, saddlebag, alloy back rest, engine guard and a windshield as well. Without windshield, the Commando Mojave is available in a matte desert colour and gets a cell phone pad on the tank.
UM Renegade Commando Mojave
Both the offerings are identical in dimension and mechanical-wise. Powered a 279.5 cc single cylinder 4-valve engine with liquid cooling and fuel injection that does duty on other Renegade motorcycles as well. This unit develops 25.15 PS of power at 8500 RPM and 23 Nm of torque at 7000 RPM, mated to 6-speed gearbox. Fuel tank capacity for the two motorcycles is a generous 18-liter with a kerb weight of 179kg.
