Ultraviolette F77 e-bike showcased, registration of interest open

Bangalore-based Ultraviolette Automotive’s first electric bike called the F77 has been unveiled. It comes in three variants – Lightning, Shadow and Laser and all the electric motorcycles will be priced between Rs. 3-3.25 lakhs (on-road). A total of 3 colour options are available – Stealth grey, Lightning Silver and Crimson.

It is claimed that the Ultraviolet F77 is the first high-performance e-bike. The full-faired bike is built on a steel trellis frame. Height of the seat is 800 mm and weighs 158 kg on the bike. Sensors of shock and impact are available for detection of fall and crash. The F77 also comes with park assist reverse throttle.

The F77 comes with a TFT instrument cluster that can be connected to a mobile app. It is packed with features including a smartphone-connected LCD display. It is integrated with the connection between eSIM, NFC and Bluetooth. GPS / GLONASS positioning for Drive History, Vehicle Locator and Geofencing for real-time speed and location discovery.

The F77 comes with an air-cooled electric motor with an estimated output of 33.5 BHP @ 2,250 rpm and torque of 90 Nm. It is powered by a 4.2 kWh lithium-ion battery with a one-charge range of 130-150 km. Recharging the battery to full capacity takes 5 hours, although it is said that a fast charger decreases the charging time to 1.5 hours.

There are 3 riding modes on the F77 – Eco, Sport and Insane. The company claims that in 2.9 seconds the bike could reach 0-60 KMPH and in 7.5 seconds 0-100 KMPH. The maximum speed estimated is 147 KMPH.

The F77 uses inverted cartridge type forks at the front and 12 mm piston with adjustable preload spring at the rear. Front tyre is a 110/70 R17 while the rear is 150/60 R17. It comes with a front disk brake of 320 mm and a rear disk of 230 mm with dual-channel ABS as standard.

Ultraviolet will provide accessories such as wheel caps, crash guards, panniers, viewfinder, regular charger, home charging pod, fast charger, dashboard theme, etc…

On this website, customers can register their interest. Initially, the premium electric motorcycle will be available in Bangalore only. It is expected that deliveries will begin in Q3-2020.
