Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni) is brand ambassador of TVS StaR city yesterday unveiled a special, limited edition, all black 110cc TVS Star City motorcycle for Tamil Nadu.
In a private event the Indian captain who talked with TVS Motor firm’s Tamil Nadu dealers and chose owners of TVS motorcycles, said, it has been a good experience for me, circulating with people who actually live motorcycles. Each interaction is a new learning experiences no issue how much one assumes one knows. It feels amazing to be among the customers of TVS StaR City that I have authorized for 7 years now. Personally I like motorcycles, so releasing an exclusive edition TVS StaR city is very exciting.
According to TVS Motor Company’s President–Marketing, H S Goindi , “In addition to having an all-black themed styling, this value for money, executive class commuter is elegant, yet tough and powerful, returns a stunning fuel economy. High quality ride handling and easy maneuverability makes riding the TVS StaR City extremely comfortable, on any terrain.
There is no change in price which starts from Rs. 40,775/- (ex-showroom Tamil Nadu) and we expect this special edition TVS Star City motorcycle, to further strengthen the volumes of TVS StaR City by around 15% in the state.” The major points of the TVS Star City are the all black alloy wheels, refreshed styling and graphics with a beautifully backlit speedo console, which adds to that style quotient of the TVS Star City.

Refresher – It’s powered by a same 110 cc 4-stroke motor which produces 8.1 BHP of power at 8.1 Nm of torque. Mated to a 4-speed manual, the StaR City weighs just 100 kgs. The ARAI as certified the 2012 TVS Star City with an 83.9 kmpl of mileage and with its 16 litre fuel tank capacity, at one full tank it can go upto 1000 kilometers.
