TVS Motors which has recently tied-up with a German motorcycle company BMW Motorrad is planning for a big launch tomorrow on 26th April which has been revealed by a teaser on the TVS Apache Facebook page with a screaming teaser “2 DAYS TO GO”. However any bike by the collaboration of TVS and BMW Motorrad Company is not expected in this big launch. Clearly observing the uploaded image one can find slight traces of TVS Apache’s headlights in the shadows.
Not being sure of what this release is actually going to be, one can expect updated version of TVS Apache or may be a limited version of this bike on the account of its first anniversary after the facelifted version of Apache was released earlier in 2012. Since the older version of TVS Apache had attained decent sales in the Indian market rather than the face lifted version of Apache which had mixture of reviews all over, this big release might be in order to bring back the sales for TVS which existed before the release of the updated facelifted version.
Furthermore, there are rumors on the web which suggest that the power Apache RTR 180 is expected to go as high as 19.5 PS, compared to the current 17PS. In terms of the exterior design, there isn’t any massive change but expect some minor touches to give the beast a refreshed look. However, we don’t have any official confirmation on the same and also there are no much info about the updated RTR160.
(Updated – It was not the launch on new 2013 TVS Apache RTR instead a contest conducted by the company as a part of promotion event.)
